The Institute for Community Development of Southern New Jersey is pleased to offer the AFP First Course in Fundraising.
The AFP First Course in Fundraising offers a complete overview of the development function, featuring state-of-the-art information and techniques. This two-day program includes case studies and projects for groups and individuals, making the learning experience both substantive and enjoyable.
Who should attend?
Participants typically include executive directors responsible for the development function, fundraising executives with less than three years experience, and volunteers and other staff within the development office.

Executives new to the development field will learn how to organize and manage fundraising programs, gain basic skills in a variety of techniques and prepare for a career in development.

Volunteers will find the First Course valuable preparation for gift solicitation.

Trustees and CEOs will discover useful tools to shape the direction and clarify the expectations of the development office.

This course will introduce the novice fundraiser to the fundamental concepts and techniques involving:

Cancellation Policy
The cancellation policy varies by course or program, depending on the length of the course or program. For short courses, seminars and workshops, you may cancel prior to 3 days before the course for full refund. Refunds for short courses, seminars and workshops may be subject to a $10.00 processing fee. For certificate programs and other long courses, any cancellation by a registrant must be received at least 15 days prior to the start date of the course for full refund. 50% refund will be made for cancellations made within 15 days prior to the course start date. All refunds for certificate programs are subject to a $50.00 processing fee.
No refunds will be made once a course is in session, although in cases involving medical emergencies, we can accommodate a participant's need to hold a registration to the next cohort group of the course or similar course.
