A Message from President Dr. Herman J. Saatkamp, Jr.
Welcome to Stockton University! We look forward to your visits and hope that you find the website engaging and informative. We also strongly encourage you to visit our campuses in Galloway, Atlantic City, Hammonton, Woodbine and Manahawkin in person.
Our 2,000-acre Pomona campus is reminiscent of one of America’s beautiful national parks, including two pristine lakes and beautifully protected pinelands and wetlands. Princeton Review ranks our campus as one of the most environmentally responsible Universities in the U.S. and Canada.
We are also excited about our newest Campus on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, at the site of the former Showboat Hotel Casino. totaling 1.7 million square feet of space on 26 acres. The Stockton Island Campus will be designed to be a full-service residential campus, while also helping play an important role in facilitating economic and social change in Atlantic City. We anticipate a soft opening in Summer 2015, with students residing at the campus beginning in the Fall of 2015.
Both the Galloway and Atlantic City campuses are located in areas immersed world class hospitality and tourism, aviation research and aerospace technology, and other exciting ventures that support and enhance ongoing economic development efforts here in southeastern New Jersey. Our campuses are easily accessible from the Garden State Parkway and Atlantic City Expressway and within easy driving distance to major metropolitan areas as well, including New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C.
Stockton University is ranked among the Best Universities/Master’s in the North by U.S. News and World Report and is one of Princeton Review’s Best Northeastern Colleges. Stockton was selected among 115 colleges and universities nationally for the prestigious Community Engagement Classification as compiled by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
