Education Concert

Tuesday • April 16 • 10:30 am

Elementary school students will be given the opportunity to hear and experience America’s original art form....JAZZ. This program will be presented by Stockton College Jazz Studies coordinator and associate professor, Michael Pedicin, plus other musicians. They will introduce and discuss the instruments they each play, i.e. saxophone, trumpet, piano, guitar, bass and drums, as well as how and why they originally wanted to learn to play that particular instrument. All of this will be related to the kinds of music that kids currently hear in their environment....even hip-hop! By the end of the program, the kids will be singing and clapping to the rhythms of Jazz.
