What Happens After Customs
After students go through the customs and claim their luggage they have 2 options:
1. Students can be picked up by the Stockton University school shuttle.
Students should ensure that the Flight Information form is correctly completed and submitted. Students must make arrangement to arrive at the Newark Liberty International Airport on the day indicated by the Office of Global Engagement. Please contact the office for more information.
2. Students can arrange their own transportation.
You must make arrangements for transportation from your port of entry into the United States. Please refer to New Jersey Transit website for bus and train transportation schedules. Use navegation tools to obtain directions to specific locations.
Note: Students arriving before the assigned move-in date are responsible for their own temporary accommodations. All International Students living on Stockton Campus will be arriving to the International Students Lounge, at F 101-q, where they will have an opportunity to meet with the Global Engagement staff and be transported to the designated housing.
Please be advised that you cannot enter the U.S. any earlier than 30 days before the beginning of classes. The Department of Homeland Security requires International Students to report to their school within 30 days of their program start date. Therefore, students must arrive in person to the Office of Global Engagement and bring with them:
• Current unexpired passport
• Form I-20/DS-2019
• Form I-94 (Print it online)
• Valid F/J visa
Remember: Students who do not report to the Office of Global Engagement before the beginning of classes will fall out of status, jeopardizing their ability to study in the U.S.
Students must attend Mandatory Orientation. Those who do not attend the Orientation violate regulation set forth by the Department of Homeland Security and automatically fall out of status, jeopardizing their ability to study in the U.S.
