What is International Education Week?

International Education Week (IEW) is an opportunity on the third week of November* to celebrate the benefits of International Education and exchange worldwide. It is an avenue to inspire students to broaden their perspectives through global learning, foreign languages and international exchange and travel.

IEW is a dual enterprise of the U.S. Departments of Education and State and it is celebrated by most colleges and universities all over the United States and in over a 100 countries overseas.

Visit the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs for more Information.

How is Stockton Involved?

This year, as we join the rest of the world in celebrating the International Education Week, we aim towards further internationalization and globalization of the university, a goal which is dependent on the campus wide effort of every department, office, faculty, staff and student.

As we achieve this goal, we provide our students with a well-rounded education which will enable them to succeed in a globally competitive and interdependent economy and society.

International Education Week Event Proposal

Last year's International Education Week was a success, but we couldn’t have done it without the support from around the University. We invite you to participate in this week-long celebration by organizing symposiums, film viewings, panel discussions, workshops and by presenting international research work or experiences in the poster fair.  Faculty may also participate by introducing an international topic into all classroom activities for that week.  Submit a proposal today!
