Men Fifth, Women Eighth at Lehigh's John Covert Classic

Results
The Richard Stockton indoor track & field teams returned to action after a lengthy break by competing in the John Covert Classic at Lehigh University. The Stockton men placed fifth with 30 points while the women finished eighth with 22 points. Victoria Barden (Bayville/ Central) was the lone event winner for the Ospreys. Barden won the high jump over teammate Amanda Williams (Williamstown/Williamstown) on a tiebreaker after each topped out at a height of 1.57 meters.

Freshman Demetrius Rooks (Galloway/Absegami) led the Stockton men’s team with a strong effort on the track. Rooks finished second in the 400m (51.84 seconds) and fourth in the 200m (23.45 seconds). Ben Hammond (Williamstown/Williamstown) placed second in the triple jump (13.83m) while freshman Khayriy Tilghman (Newark/Arts) was third in the high jump (1.83m). Rachel Joseph (Livingston/Livingston) placed third in the pole vault (3.35m) for the Stockton
