Stockton Women Third, Men Seventh at CTC Championships

Results
The Richard Stockton women's indoor track & field team won four events and finished third out of 21 teams with 87.17 points while the Stockton men's squad placed seventh out of 19 teams with 52.7 points in the Collegiate Track Conference (CTC) Championships at Wesleyan University.

Robyn Evangelist (Northfield/Mainland) won the 1000m run (3:06.51) and Mahogany Mitchell (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) won the weight throw (14.03m). Lisa Shepherd (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) won the high jump (1.63m) and Rachel Joseph (Livingston/Livingston) won the pole vault at an NCAA provisional qualifying height (3.50m). Amanda Williams (Williamstown/Williamstown) finished second in the high jump (1.58m) for the Ospreys.

Demetrius Rooks (Galloway/Absegami) was the top male performer for Stockton, placing second in the 400m dash (49.95 seconds) while Abad Akhtar (Brigantine/Atlantic City) finished third and set a school record in the 5000m run (15:27.15). Jim Osenenko (West Creek/Pinelands) placed third in the long jump (5.96m) and Ben Hammond (Williamstown/Williamstown) was third in the triple jump (13.07m).  Alex Bruno (Voorhees/Eastern) finished fourth and set the school record in the mile run (4:25.70).
