Game 1 / Game 2
Richard Stockton (1-3) completed its season-opening weekend trip to Myrtle Beach with a pair of defeats to eighth-ranked Shenandoah (VA) (3-1). The Ospreys were unable to pull a second upset as they fell 6-0 and 11-7 in the pair of seven-inning games. In the opener, Barry Larro (Cedarville/Cumberland) broke up a perfect game with a double in the sixth inning that proved to be Stockton’s only hit of the contest. Two Ospreys later reached base on walks for a total of just three baserunners.

Larro went 2-3 with two RBI and Jason Gordon (Moorestown/ Cherry Hill West) was 2-4 with two runs in the nightcap however the Ospreys were outscored 11-7. Stockton broke out to a 2-0 lead on a two-run homer by Mike Wasco (Riverside/Riverside) in the bottom of the first but Shenandoah responded with nine runs in the next three innings to put the game out of reach. Freshman Joe Farrell (Longport/Holy Spirit) blasted a three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth for his first career home run.
