Richard Stockton (1-0) scored five goals in the first 7:09 of the contest en route to a 10-0 lead after the first quarter, and cruised to a 19-5 victory over Wells College (NY) (0-2) in its season opener. New Stockton head coach Kevin Zulauf collected the victory in his first game as a college head coach. Josh Dybus (Lyndhurst/St. Peter’s Prep) scored a game-high nine goals to lead the Ospreys.

Teammate Kyle Marlborough (Howell/Howell) hit the back of the net three times and Brendan McCarthy (Howell/Howell) added a goal and five assists. Pete Marcelliano (Morristown/ West Morris Mendham) started in goal for Stockton and made six saves in the first half to pick up the victory. Andrew Martinelli (West Orange/West Orange) and Tim Wolcott (Toms River/TR North) also saw time in the Osprey net.

Dybus opened the scoring barrage just 44 seconds into the game for the first of his five tallies in the opening quarter, the last of which came with just one second left. Marlborough netted a pair of markers in the first quarter and added his third of the game early in the second stanza to give Stockton an 11-0 edge before the Ospreys yielded their first goal. Stockton led 13-2 at the half and cruised to the 19-5 rout.
