Richard Stockton (1-2) suffered its second defeat in three days as Moravian (1-5) edged the Ospreys 11-9. Moravian outshot Stockton 53-36 but goalkeeper Pete Marcelliano (Morristown/ West Morris Mendham) gave the Ospreys a chance by making 27 saves. Josh Dybus (Lyndhurst/St. Peter’s Prep) led Stockton with three goals and one assist. Matt Bologno (Glen Gardner/Voorhees) and Brent Effenberger (Toms River/Msgr. Donovan) added two goals apiece.

Moravian snapped a 2-2 tie with four straight goals before Dybus struck just two seconds before halftime to cut the Greyhounds’ lead to 6-3. Moravian scored the first goal of the second half, then consecutive tallies by Bologno and Effenberger pulled Stockton within 7-5. The Greyhounds scored four of the next five goals for an 11-6 count. The Ospreys responded with three straight markers to get within 11-9 after a goal by Bologno with four minutes to play, but Stockton could not get any closer in the two-goal defeat.
