Game 1 / Game 2
Richard Stockton (10-8) split a doubleheader for the second straight day, this time with Haverford (11-7). Haverford took the opener 6-2 while Stockton garnered the nightcap 9-5. In the opener, Stockton drew first blood as Chris Discher (Cherry Hill/CH West) singled, Chris Wedding (Toms River/TR East) doubled and Matt Allen (Salem/Woodstown) grounded out to give the Ospreys a 1-0 lead after one inning. Haverford came back to take the lead for good, plating four unearned runs in the second.

Mike Wasco’s (Riverside/Riverside) RBI single in the third inning cut the lead in half but Haverford added two insurance runs in the seventh for the 6-2 final. Chris Cirlincione (Monroe Twp./Monroe Twp.) took the loss despite not allowing an earned run (six unearned) and striking out four in 6.2 innings pitched. Allen went 1-3 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored

In the second game, Stockton gained some revenge by taking advantage of nine walks and five errors to get the win. Discher and Wedding scored two unearned runs in the bottom of the fourth to snap a 4-4 tie. A solo home run by Jason Gordon (Brick/Brick Memorial) highlighted a three-run fifth frame that broke the game and put the Ospreys ahead 9-4.

Mark Crescenzi (Pedricktown/Pennsgrove) allowed just one unearned run in 3.1 innings of relief pitching to earn his second win of the year. Wasco went 1-3 with a double and two RBI while Wedding and Discher scored three runs apiece for the Ospreys in the 9-5 victory.
