Richard Stockton (13-13, 3-5) was edged by Rowan (16-8, 8-1) 5-3 on a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning. The Ospreys were just two outs away from victory when an error sparked a four-run rally by Rowan that culminated in the game-ending two-run homer. Chris Wedding (Toms River/TR East) went 3-5 with a run scored while Chris Discher (Cherry Hill/CH West) was 2-3 with a run and an RBI. Jason Gordon (Brick/Brick Memorial) went 2-4 at the plate as well.

Stockton snapped a scoreless tie with two runs in the fifth as Discher walked and scored on an error and Wedding singled and scored in the inning. Rowan plated one run in the bottom half before Stockton took a 3-1 lead in the sixth frame as Discher earned an RBI with a sacrifice bunt. A Stockton error with one out in the bottom of the ninth led to four unearned runs and the Ospreys were denied a sweep of the two regular season meetings with Rowan, 5-3.
