Richard Stockton (14-15, 4-7) split an NJAC doubleheader at Montclair State (16-9, 7-4), winning the opener 10-3 but dropping the nightcap 7-6 on a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth. Mike Wasco (Riverside/Riverside) powered the Ospreys to 25 hits in the twinbill by going 6-8 with a double, home run, four RBI and four runs.

In the first game, Matt Allen (Salem/Woodstown) went 3-6 with a run while Wasco was 2-3 with a double, home run, three runs and three RBI. Stockton trailed 3-2 before taking the lead with three scores in the seventh inning on a two-run double by Wasco and an RBI groundout by Allen. The Ospreys added five more runs in the ninth for the 10-3 victory. Chris LaVoie (Manahawkin/Southern) pitched six innings, allowing three runs on five hits with one strikeout and improved to 4-0 with the win.

Wasco went 4-5 with a double, run and an RBI while Jason Gordon (Brick/Brick Memorial) was 3-4 in the nightcap. Stockton trailed 6-4 before Wasco ripped an RBI double in the seventh inning and Joe Farrell (Longport/Holy Spirit) scored an unearned run in the eighth for a 6-6 tie. After Stockton was retired in order in the top of the ninth, Montclair led off the bottom of the ninth with a walk-off home run that dealt Stockton its second defeat on a game-ending homer in four days.
