Richard Stockton (6-6, 2-4) concluded the regular season with a 15-4 defeat in a Skyline Conference game at 18th-ranked Montclair State. Brent Effenberger (Toms River/Msgr. Donovan), Brendan McCarthy (Howell/Howell) and Matt Bell (Jackson/Jackson) scored one goal apiece. Stockton goalkeeper Pete Marcelliano (Morristown/West Morris Mendham) recorded 12 saves.

Montclair State scored the first 10 goals of the game before the Ospreys got on the board on a rare “own goal” as one of the Red Hawks misfired on a pass to the goalie that sailed into the net for Stockton’s first tally. Effenberger and McCarthy struck for consecutive goals to begin the second-half scoring and McCarthy added Stockton’s final marker with an assist by Wade Veselka (Chesterfield/Northern Burlington) early in the fourth quarter.
