Stockton Women 10th, Men 11th at ECAC Championships

Richard Stockton won a total of three events in the ECAC Championships at Springfield College. Overall, the Ospreys finished 10th out of 51 teams in women’s competition and 11th out of 48 squads on the men’s side. Demetrius Rooks (Galloway/Absegami) won the 400m (48.01 seconds) and 400m hurdles (53.30 seconds), establishing personal bests in both and breaking his own school record in the hurdles.

Jill Shaner (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) won the javelin (44.71) for her eighth consecutive victory in the event. Stockton also fared well in the high jump, with Lisa Shepherd (Mays Landing/ Oakcrest) finishing second in the women’s event (1.68m) and Chris Huch (Tuckerton/Pinelands) placing second in the men’s competition (2.01m). Rachel Joseph (Livingston/ Livingston) finished third in the pole vault (3.55m) for the Ospreys.
