Kean 11, Stockton 7

Richard Stockton (7-7) fell to top-seeded Kean (14-6) 11-7 in the ECAC Mid-Atlantic championship game and finished as the tournament runner-up. Matt Bell (Jackson/Jackson) notched two goals and an assist for a team-high three points. Josh Dybus (Lyndhurst/St. Peter’s Prep) scored two goals and Pete Marcelliano (Morristown/West Morris Mendham) recorded 14 saves as the trio of seniors led the Ospreys in their final college game.

Kean scored the first five goals of the match before Wade Veselka (Chesterfield/Northern Burlington) got the Ospreys on the board with 5:24 left in the first half. Matt Bologno (Glen Gardner/Voorhees) tallied the only goal of the third quarter and then Bell struck 35 seconds into the fourth period to pull Stockton within 6-3. Kean responded with three goals in a three-minute span for a 9-3 advantage and the Ospreys could not recover from the deficit, falling 11-7 in the ECAC tournament finale.
