Richard Stockton (1-0) made a successful 2010 debut with a 4-1 victory over FDU-Florham (0-1). Leah Pocoroba (Galloway/ Holy Spirit), Kiera Hines (Deptford/Deptford), Dailey Todd (Millville/Millville) and Jessica McQuillen (Tabernacle/ Seneca) provided the balanced scoring with one goal apiece. Goalkeeper Maria Dorris (Mantua/Clearview) kicked out seven shots in picking up her first win of the year.

Pocoroba, the team’s leading goal scorer in 2009, booted the first goal of the season at the 10:46 mark to give the Ospreys a 1-0 lead. FDU-Florham tied the game 10 minutes later but Hines scored just 1:10 before halftime to give Stockton a 2-1 advantage.

The Ospreys broke the game open in the second half. Todd, a sophomore, scored her first career goal at 65:27 and freshman Jessica Balnis (Dorothy/Buena) earned her first college point with an assist. McQuillen capped the 4-1 win at the 84-minute mark with her first goal in a Stockton uniform.
