Richard Stockton (3-1) scored once in each half and held on to defeat DeSales University (4-1) 2-1 in the opener of the 2010 Seashore Classic. Sean Nelson (Toms River/Toms River South) and Kyle Evans (Seaville/Ocean City) netted one goal apiece for the Ospreys and Stockton goalkeeper Lou Herring (Freehold/Freehold) made six saves for the win.

Nelson scored his first goal of the season unassisted at 11:50 on a beautiful move and shot to the lower right corner to give Stockton a 1-0 lead. Evans made it 2-0 with his second marker of the year on a helper from Pat Langan (Hazlet/Raritan) at 52:46. The rookie earned his first career point with the assist. DeSales pulled within a goal by scoring on a free kick at 71:01, but the Ospreys were able to hold off the Bulldogs for the 2-1 victory.
