25th-ranked Richard Stockton (4-3, 0-1 NJAC) opened NJAC play with a 1-0 loss to Kean (4-2-1, 1-0) in double overtime. The Ospreys played their sixth consecutive one-goal game and suffered their second straight defeat. Freshman goalkeeper Tim Brett (Palmyra/Palmyra) made seven saves for the Ospreys.

Kean held a slight 16-13 advantage in shots and each team booted six corner kicks. Kyle Evans (Seaville/Ocean City) led Stockton with four shots, including three on goal.

The teams battled through 90 scoreless minutes of regulation and the game remained a 0-0 deadlock until more than halfway through the second overtime. Kean finally broke through for the game-winner on a 30-yard shot that eluded the outstretched Brett with just 3:31 left in the match to hand Stockton the 1-0 defeat. The Ospreys were shutout for the second time in seven games this season.
