Boxscore
Richard Stockton (1-11) earned its first victory of the season and first ever on its new synthetic turf field with a 2-1 over Delaware Valley (7-8). Nancy White (Ocean City/Ocean City) and Cory Silvio (Vineland/Vineland) scored one goal apiece while Susie Balidemaj (Hamilton/Hamilton East) assisted on both Stockton tallies. Ospreys’ goalkeeper Debi O’Kane (Cologne/Absegami) made nine saves in the winning effort.

Stockton took an early 1-0 lead on a penalty corner just 5:47 into the game. Balidemaj inserted the ball to White, who stickhandled and scored on a low blast. The Ospreys had the better of the play in the first half and O’Kane needed just two stops to keep Delaware Valley off the board.

Stockton stuck quickly into the second half as Silvio banged in the rebound of a shot by Balidemaj to increase the Osprey lead to 2-0 just 1:08 into the period. With Stockton playing shorthanded due to a yellow card, Delaware Valley got on the board with 16:17 remaining in the game to pull within one. The Aggies pressed for the tying goal, but O’Kane and the Stockton defense withstood the pressure to collect their first win of the year, 2-1.
