Boxscore
Sal Pistone (Blackwood/Highland) scored his first goal of the season with 3:26 left in the first overtime to give Richard Stockton (12-4-2, 4-2-2 NJAC) a thrilling 2-1 victory over Montclair State (12-3-2, 6-2). The win extended the Ospreys unbeaten streak to 10 consecutive contests (8-0-2) and it was Stockton’s second straight overtime victory as well as its first triumph over Montclair since 2005.

After a scoreless first half of the tense affair, Ali Gocmez (Delran/Delran) scored just 2:36 into the second half to put Stockton up 1-0. Clay Gashlin (Bayville/Central Regional) and Domenick Nocito (Delran/Delran) got the assists on the play. Stockton soon gained a man-advantage due to a Montclair red card, but its lead was short-lived as the Red Hawks knotted the contest just four minutes later.

The game remained tied into overtime until Bryan Hutches (Haddon Twp. /Haddon Twp.) flipped a shot toward the Montclair goal that made its way to Kevin Churchill (Newton/ Newton). The Red Hawks’ goalkeeper got a piece of Churchill’s shot, but Pistone buried the rebound for the game-winner. Stockton goalie Tim Brett (Palmyra/Palmyra) kicked out nine shots in picking up his eighth win of the season and stretching his unbeaten streak to 10 as well.
