Richard Stockton (11-6-2, 5-3-1 NJAC) scored all of its goals in the second half as the Ospreys downed Rutgers-Newark (6-10-3, 2-5-2) 3-1 in the regular season finale. It was Stockton’s third consecutive victory and sixth in the last seven matches heading into the NJAC playoffs. Leah Pocoroba (Galloway/ Holy Spirit), Kiera Hines (Deptford/Deptford) and Briana Fischer (Brick/Brick) netted one goal apiece to propel the Ospreys to the triumph.

After a scoreless first half, Stockton got on the board first as Pocoroba found the net just 1:38 into the second period for her team-high 12th goal of the season. Rachel Carlson (Mullica Twp./Oakcrest) had the assist. The Scarlet Raiders tied it up at one goal each at 54:30 before Stockton put the game away with two late goals.

Hines scored her fifth marker of the season with an assist from Brianna DeStefano (Williamstown/Williamstown) at 78:27 and then Fischer got the insurance goal, her second of the year, assisted by Jessica McQuillen (Tabernacle/Seneca) at 85:23 to set the 3-1 final score. Goalkeeper Sarah Hinkle (Mullica Hill/Paul VI) made six saves in picking up the victory.
