ECAC Tournament quarterfinals:
Stockton 7, Old Westbury 1

Top-seeded Richard Stockton (13-7-2) advanced to the semifinals of the ECAC Metro/Upstate Tournament with a 7-1 victory over eighth-seeded Old Westbury (11-9) in the first round. Leah Pocoroba (Galloway/Holy Spirit) led the Ospreys with two goals and an assist followed by Rachel Carlson (Mullica Twp./Oakcrest) with a goal and an assist.

Freshmen Amanda Magana (Sicklerville/Timber Creek) and Devon Betsch (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) each netted their first career goal. Dailey Todd (Millville/Millville) and Jessica McQuillen (Tabernacle/Seneca) also scored one marker apiece for the Ospreys.

Magana opened the scoring late in the first half at 34:33 and McQuillen added her fifth tally of the season with 28 seconds left before intermission for a 2-0 lead. Stockton broke the game open with three goals in the first 17:08 of the second half. Pocoroba struck for two markers five minutes apart to bring her team-leading total to 15 goals on the year and Todd added her seventh of the season at 62:08.

Betsch dribbled in from near midfield, beat a defender and shot the ball past the keeper for a 6-0 lead with 6:27 remaining. Carlson scored the final goal for the Ospreys just 1:24 later, before Old Westbury spoiled the shutout with a late goal on a free kick for the 7-1 final.
