Mike Mielke ’86 earned a total of five track & field All-American honors in the throwing events from 1984-86, capped by an NCAA individual championship in the discus in 1986.

Mielke twice won the discus at the Collegiate Track Conference Championships (1985-86) and also took the weight throw once at the CTC meet.

In addition, Mielke competed in the discus at the Penn Relays twice, including a victory in 1986.
