Stockton Teams Each Finish Fourth at CTC Championships

Richard Stockton finished fourth out of 21 women's teams and also fourth out of 19 men's teams in the Collegiate Track Conference (CTC) Championships at Wesleyan College (CT). The Ospreys won four events at the meet.

Robyn Evangelist (Northfield/Mainland) was the lone female victor for Stockton, winning the 800m (2:22.00). Evangelist also finished second in the mile (5:17.52) and ran a leg of the 4x400 relay, in which the Ospreys placed second.

Abad Akhtar (Brigantine/Atlantic City) led the Stockton men's team by winning the mile (4:20.30) and placing third in the 3000m (8:43.38). Jim Osenenko (West Creek/Pinelands) won the pentathlon (3072 points) and Khayriy Tilghman (Newark/ Arts) won the high jump (1.88m) for the Ospreys.

Mahogany Mitchell (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) finished second in the women's weight throw and Ben Hammond (Williamstown/Williamstown) placed second in the men's triple jump (14.13m).

Evangelist, Rachel Carlson (Mullica Twp./Oakcrest), Katherine Rudy (Bound Brook/Bound Brook) and Nikki Stratton (Stratford/Sterling) finished second in the women's 4x400 relay (4:10.64). Stratton also placed fourth in the long jump (5.01m).

Chris Collins (Manahawkin/Southern) contributed to the Stockton men’s team with third-place finishes in the 55m (6.60 seconds) and 200m (23.13 seconds). Amanda Williams (Williamstown/Williamstown) finished third in the high jump (1.58m) and fourth in the triple jump (10.21) for the Stockton women’s team.
