Freshman Rafael Duarte (Ocean City/Ocean City) was named MVP of the Stockton Seashore Classic after scoring two goals to lead undefeated Stockton to a 9-0 rout Hunter. Sean McCallum (Vineland/Vineland) and Jeremy Borrero (Hammonton/ Hammonton) each contributed a goal and assist. The Ospreys won their own tournament on goal differential, 12-6 over William Paterson.
Travis Albert (Voorhees/Eastern), Mike Holmes (Toms River/TR North), Matt Lewis (Bear, DE/Glasgow), Jason Bonnel (Edison/J.P. Stevens) and Justin Gauvain (Beachwood/ Toms River South) also booted one goal apiece for Stockton. Ospreys’ goalkeeper Tim McKenna (Sewell/Gloucester Catholic) earned the shutout with two saves and also collected an assist on a long punt that led to McCallum’s goal.
