Richard Stockton (1-4) yielded seven consecutive goals in the first half and fell to Centenary (3-1) 11-5 in the last match of a three-game homestand.

Brent Effenberger (Toms River/Msgr. Donovan) paced Stockton with two goals while goalkeeper Tim Wolcott (Toms River/TR North) finished with 10 saves for the Ospreys.

After Effenberger scored the first goal of the game, Centenary reeled off seven straight tallies for an insurmountable 7-1 lead. Stockton’s Sean Haugh (Holland, PA/Council Rock South) finally ended the run with 2:25 left in the second quarter, and the Ospreys trailed 7-2 at the break.

Stockton outscored Centenary 2-1 in the third quarter on goals by Matt Bologno (Glen Gardner/Voorhees) and Effenberger to close the gap to 8-4 after three periods. David Soule (Kinnelon/Kinnelon) scored the lone goal for the Ospreys in the fourth quarter, but Centenary kept Stockton at bay with three more tallies for the 11-5 final score.
