Richard Stockton (1-7) was overpowered by unbeaten Stevens (9-0), which is currently ranked sixth in the nation. The powerful Ducks’ offense proved too much for Stockton in a 26-3 defeat.

Brent Effenberger (Toms River/Msgr. Donovan), Drew Wright (Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven) and Robert Krais (Jackson/ Jackson Memorial) scored one goal apiece for the Ospreys.

Stevens scored the first goal of the game, but Stockton responded just one minute later as Effenberger hit the back of the net with an assist by Chris Ordway (Long Valley/West Morris Central) for a 1-1 tie. The Ducks tallied four goals in the last 10:29 of the first quarter for a 6-1 lead. Stevens then outscored the Ospreys 10-0 in the second stanza for a 16-1 advantage at the break.

The Ducks reeled off seven more goals before Wright finally snapped a streak of 22 consecutive Stevens markers with 11:52 left in the game. Krais later closed the scoring with his first goal of the season at the 3:35 mark. Stockton goalies Tim Wolcott (Toms River/TR North) and Andrew Martinelli (West Orange/West Orange) each recorded eight saves while Noah Morris (Brick/Brick Twp.) played the final 6:22 in the net.
