Richard Stockton (1-9, 0-2 Skyline) was overwhelmed by Montclair State (4-6, 1-1) 16-2 in a Skyline Conference game that was the first of three straight at home for the Ospreys. Brian Santoleri (Berwyn, PA/Archbishop Carroll) and Christopher Miller (Turnersville/Paul VI) each scored a goal.

Montclair State netted the first nine goals of the game before Santoleri snapped the scoreless streak for the Ospreys in the third quarter. Chris Ordway (Long Valley/West Morris Central) notched the assist on the play.

After five more tallies by MSU, Miller, a freshman, scored his first career goal with an assist from Drew Wright (Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven) with 4:19 left to play. The Red Hawks then tallied the last two goals to close out the game.

Starting goalkeeper Tim Wolcott (Toms River/Toms River North) played the first 34:34 and made six saves. Andrew Martinelli (West Orange/West Orange) took over in the third quarter and contributed four saves in the last 25:26 for the Ospreys.
