Ashley Engel

Boxscore
The Stockton field hockey team shut out Philadelphia Biblical University 1-0 for its first victory of the 2007 season.  Freshman Ashley Engel (Alloway/Woodstown) scored the game-winning goal early in the first half and freshman goalkeeper Debi O’Kane (Cologne/Absegami) made one save to earn her first career shutout.

Engel scored her second goal of the season with an assist from Samantha Horner (Newfield/Buena) just 7:54 into the game for all of the offense that Stockton would need.  The Ospreys outshot Philadelphia Biblical 14-1, with O’Kane stopping the only shot that she faced to preserve the shutout in the 1-0 Stockton victory.
