Stockton Takes Two of Three at Osprey Classic

The Stockton volleyball team won two of its three home-court matches at the four-team Osprey Classic. The Ospreys topped Widener 30-23, 27-30, 30-18, 30-23 and then swept Gwynedd-Mercy 30-14, 30-19, 30-18. In its final match of the day, Stockton fell to St. Mary’s (MD) 30-21, 30-23, 30-16. St. Mary’s finished a perfect 3-0 in round-robin play.

Against Widener, Amanda Burkart (Cresskill/Cresskill) led Stockton with a team-high 23 kills and Audrey O’Donnell (Bogota/Immaculate Heart) added 15 kills and 20 digs. Christine Aletras (Ridgewood/Ridgewood) tallied 53 assists and 22 digs. O’Donnell slammed 16 kills and Aletras recorded 25 assists and 14 digs in the sweep of Gwynedd-Mercy. O’Donnell smacked a team-high eight kills and Aletras notched 18 assists and 11 digs versus St. Mary’s.
