Boxscore
Richard Stockton (3-10, 2-3 Skyline) was eliminated from contention for a Skyline Conference playoff berth with an 11-7 loss to Kean (8-5, 3-2) in the next-to-last game of the season. The match was decided in the fourth quarter, where the Cougars outscored Stockton 4-0.

Matt Bologno (Glen Gardner/Voorhees) led the Ospreys with team highs of three goals and 10 ground balls while Chris Ordway (Long Valley/West Morris Central) added two goals and an assist. Stockton goalkeeper Tim Wolcott (Toms River/TR North) recorded 10 saves.

Ordway kicked off the scoring with a goal just 1:47 into the game to give Stockton the early 1-0 lead. After Kean netted three of the next four goals, Matt Heidkamp (Fair Lawn/Fair Lawn) found the back of the net and the game was tied 3-3 after one quarter. Drew Flagler (Califon/Voorhees) opened the second period scoring with an assist by Ordway to put the Ospreys on top 4-3, but Kean scored three straight times for a 6-4 edge at the half.

Stockton battled back in the third stanza as Bologno tallied two straight goals and Ordway followed Kean’s only marker of the period with his second of the game for a 7-7 tie after three quarters. Kean then took the lead with 11:38 left to play and later created some breathing room with three man-up goals in a span of 1:25 for the 11-7 final. After Ordway’s game-tying goal, the Ospreys were held scoreless for the last 20:53 of play.
