The Stockton field hockey team could not keep pace with 19^th-ranked Juniata in a 6-0 defeat in a neutral site game at Rowan. Stockton goalkeeper Debi O’Kane (Cologne/ Absegami) faced 17 shots on goal and made 11 saves for the Ospreys. Juniata scored two goals late in the first half and broke the game open with four additional markers in a nine-minute span of the second half.

Stockton had its best scoring chance early, while the game was still scoreless. The Ospreys were awarded a penalty stroke with 17:20 on the first-half clock, but a high shot by Jackie Turner (Medford/Shawnee) that was labeled for the top left corner was denied by the Juniata goalie. Turner registered a team-high three of Stockton’s eight shots in the game.
