The Stockton field hockey team fell to Stevens by a 6-1 count in a non-league home game. Sophomore Katie Mattsson (Brick/Brick Twp.) scored her first career goal for the Ospreys with 7:52 remaining in the game to spoil the shutout. Goalkeeper Debi O’Kane (Cologne/Absegami) made five saves in the game. Stevens netted four goals in the first half and added two more markers in the second stanza for a 6-0 advantage before Mattsson banged in a loose ball from in front of the cage for the 6-1 final score. |
