Stockton Faces Tough Foes at Salisbury Invitational

Stockton ran into stiff competition at the Salisbury Invitational volleyball tournament over the weekend, dropping all four of its matches in round-robin play. On Friday, the Ospreys fell to Gettysburg (30-23, 30-21, 30-16) and New Jersey City (22-30, 30-24, 20-30, 30-17, 15-7). Stockton was swept by Johns Hopkins (30-17, 30-16, 30-18) and Salisbury (30-27, 30-25, 32-30) on Saturday. Audrey O’Donnell (Bogota/ Immaculate Heart) was named to the All-Tournament Team for the Ospreys.

O’Donnell finished with 44 kills in the four matches. Amanda Burkart (Cresskill/ Cresskill) added 13 kills and 16 digs against Gettysburg, then 17 kills and 26 digs versus New Jersey City. Christine Aletras (Ridgewood/Ridgewood) registered 13 assists and 12 digs against Johns Hopkins, followed by 25 assists and 18 digs against Salisbury.
