Stockton Wins Season Opener 7-2

Richard Stockton (1-0) opened the 2011 season with a 7-2 victory over Georgian Court. The Ospreys swept the three doubles matches and took four out of six in singles play to win their season opener.

Krystle Bendijo (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) and Laura Church (Wall/Ranney School) teamed for an 8-6 victory while Brittany Hall (Rancocas/Rancocas Valley) and Sam Koropchak (West Milford/West Milford) paired for an 8-5 win.

Jaclyn Britton (Brick/Brick Memorial) and Slone Portner (Shamong/Seneca) won by injury default to complete the doubles sweep.

Four of the Ospreys who triumphed in doubles also posted singles victories, led by Hall who was a 6-2, 6-0 winner. Koropchak, a freshman, recorded her first college win 7-5, 6-2 while Church cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Britton prevailed due to an injury default as Stockton took the match 7-2.
