STOCKTON SPLITS AGAIN AT CORTLAND TOURNAMENT

For the second straight day, Richard Stockton (4-2) split its two matches at the Red Dragon Classic hosted by SUNY Cortland. Sophomore outside hitter Nicole Serekian (Mahwah/Mahwah) was rewarded with All-Tournament Team honors after totaling 58 kills in four matches.

The Ospreys swept Vassar 25-12, 26-24, 25-17 in their first match of the day. Serekian led Stockton with 10 kills and seven digs. Stephanie Warner (Totowa/Passaic Valley) notched eight kills and four blocks while Christine Velott (Moorestown/Moorestown) contributed six kills and 21 digs.

Stockton closed the tournament in the championship match of the Gold Bracket where the Ospreys were outlasted by Lebanon Valley in five sets 25-19, 13-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-7. Serekian slammed 15 kills followed by Warner with 10 kills and four blocks. Velott tallied 12 kills and 19 digs in the match. Stockton finished sixth out of 12 teams at the Red Dragon Classic.
