STOCKTON SPLITS TWO MORE MATCHES AT NYU

Richard Stockton (11-4) split its two matches at the NYU Violet Classic for the second straight day. Each of the matches lasted four sets.

The Ospreys prevailed over Hunter 33-31, 25-14, 21-25, 25-10 behind 12 kills, eight digs, six aces and two blocks by Stephanie Warner (Totowa/Passaic Valley). Nicole Serekian (Mahwah/Mahwah) added 11 kills and Tabitha Nejman (Runnemede/Our Lady of Mercy) finished with nine kills and three blocks.

In the final match of the weekend, Stockton fell to tournament-host NYU 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 25-20. Warner slammed a career-high 18 kills and Serekian contributed 13 kills. Laura Hausman (Bethlehem, PA/Catasauqua) handed out 29 assists and Ashley Gubista (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) lifted 23 digs.

The Ospreys went 2-2 at the NYU Violet Classic and finished third out of five teams in the tournament. Serekian was voted to the All-Tournament Team for Stockton.
