Kiera Hines

Boxscore

Richard Stockton (5-4-2, 1-3 NJAC) fell behind early and could not recover as the Ospreys fell to rival Rowan (4-3, 3-0 NJAC) 2-1 in an NJAC road game. Kiera Hines (Deptford/ Deptford) was the lone goal scorer for the Ospreys and Briana Fischer (Brick/Brick) contributed an assist.

The Profs wasted little time as Evynn Wright lifted a shot over Stockton goalkeeper Sarah Hinkle’s (Mullica Hill/Paul VI) head just 1:09 into the match for an early 1-0 Rowan lead.

The Ospreys faced a 2-0 deficit just 6:26 later as Christie Fink followed up her own blocked shot and scored on the rebound to give the Profs a 2-0 advantage less than eight minutes into the match.

Stockton cut the deficit in half as Hines buried her third goal of the season at the 31:25 mark. Fischer collected her second assist of the year with a pass to Hines for the tally. Despite having plenty of time, the Ospreys were unable to produce the tying goal as Rowan held its slim lead for over 58 minutes and prevailed 2-1.

Each team finished with 10 shots on goal, but Rowan keeper Lyndsie Bernardini finished with nine saves for the win while Hinkle notched eight stops for the Ospreys.
