Boxscore

Richard Stockton (6-4-2, 2-3 NJAC) earned its second NJAC victory of the season with a 3-0 shutout of New Jersey City (9-2, 2-2) on the road. Jacque Becker (Hamilton/Steinert) led the Ospreys with two goals and Jessica Balnis (Dorothy/ Buena) added one marker.

The teams played a scoreless first half in which Stockton outshot the Gothic Knights 12-9 before the Ospreys broke the game open with three tallies in the second half.

Becker scored her first goal of the match with a chip shot over NJCU goalie Brittany Hoffman’s head just 4:09 after intermission. Kiera Hines (Deptford/Deptford) collected an assist with the pass to Becker.

Just over six minutes later, Becker struck again as she deflected home a corner kick by Jess McQuillen (Tabernacle/Seneca) for her second marker of the game and third of the season. Only eight more minutes passed before Balnis juked past an NJCU defender and scored on a breakaway to seal the 3-0 Stockton victory.

Stockton goalkeeper Sarah Hinkle (Mullica Hill/Paul VI) made four saves in 77 minutes played. Backup keeper Cara Parliament (Manchester/Manchester Twp.) notched two stops in the final 13 minutes to complete the combined shutout.
