STOCKTON COMPETES IN GOUCHER OPEN

Richard Stockton entered players in all six flights of the Goucher Open, four singles and two doubles. The Ospreys reached the semifinals and finished fourth in four of the six tournament brackets.

In Flight I singles, Krystle Bendijo (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) won 6-1, 6-1 in the quarterfinals but fell 6-0, 6-2 in the semifinals. Brittany Hall (Rancocas/Rancocas Valley) posted a 6-1, 6-0 victory in the quarterfinals before stumbling 6-0, 6-3 in the semifinals of Flight II singles.

Scout Bauer (Haddon Twp./Haddon Twp.) posted a 6-2, 6-4 triumph in the quarterfinals of Flight IV singles and then suffered a 6-2, 6-0 defeat in the semifinals. Jaclyn Britton (Brick/Brick) and Slone Portner (Shamong/Seneca) split two close matches in Flight I doubles. The duo earned a 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) win in the quarterfinals but then was edged 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 in the semifinals.

Also for the Ospreys, Sam Koropchak (West Milford/West Milford) dropped her Flight III quarterfinal match 7-5, 6-2 but bounced back with a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the consolation round to finish with a 1-1 record at the tournament. Kelsey Pyle (Swedesboro/Kingsway) and Tara Varga (Pt. Pleasant Boro/Pt. Pleasant Boro) teamed up in Flight II doubles but came up short 6-4, 6-3 in the quarterfinals.
