Boxscore

Richard Stockton (8-6-1, 2-3-1 NJAC) began a difficult stretch of three straight games against ranked opponents with an NJAC road match at 11th-ranked Rutgers-Camden (12-2-1, 4-0-1).

An early goal proved to be the difference as the Scarlet Raptors edged the Ospreys 1-0, dealing Stockton its third loss in four games. Stockton goalkeeper Lou Herring (Freehold/Freehold) made three saves in the match.

Mitch Grotti scored his NJAC-leading 14th goal of the season on a shot from the top of the box just 4:55 into the game. Stockton generated some of its best scoring chances on restarts and corner kicks, but the Ospreys were unable to capitalize on their opportunities, and they were blanked for the third time this season.

Stockton was outshot by a slim 16-14 margin but held an 11-6 advantage in corner kicks, including 8-1 in the first half. Ali Gocmez (Delran/Delran) was credited with a team-high three shots in the contest.
