Richard Stockton (7-5) tied the school record of seven victories in a season with a 4-2 win over DeSales (4-9) in a non-conference road game.

Susie Balidemaj (Hamilton/Hamilton East) led the Ospreys with a goal and two assists. Stockton previously won seven games in the 2005 and 2006 seasons.

Jenny Carpenter (Egg Harbor City/Absegami) gave the Ospreys a 1-0 lead by scoring off a scramble in front of the cage. Alicia Leadbeater (Franklinville/Delsea) assisted on Carpenter’s third goal of the season, which came 16:45 into the match. Alison Malatesta answered for DeSales at the 30-minute mark and the match was tied 1-1 at halftime.

Stockton took control of the game with three consecutive goals in the second half. Sophomore Stephanie Reichardt (Oakhurst/Ocean Twp.) scored her first career goal by lofting a high shot into the cage after a feed by Balidemaj on a penalty corner. The tally came just 2:44 into the second stanza and gave the Ospreys the lead for good.

Balidemaj netted her team-leading eighth goal of the season with a re-direction of a blast by Katy Hannigan (Westampton/Rancocas Valley) for a 3-1 Stockton lead. Ten minutes later, Nancy White (Ocean City/Ocean City) ripped a shot into the cage following a penalty corner insert by Balidemaj for a 4-1 advantage. Amanda Trickey scored a late goal for DeSales to set the 4-2 final score.

Stockton goalkeeper Liz Stankiewicz (Freehold Twp./Freehold Twp.) earned the victory with five saves while Victoria DelToro countered with 13 stops for DeSales.
