STOCKTON BLANKS RAMAPO 2-0

Richard Stockton (8-5-2, 4-3 NJAC) made the trip up to Ramapo (3-8-2, 1-4) and shut out the Roadrunners 2-0 for its second straight win and third in four games.

Ospreys’ goalkeeper Sarah Hinkle (Mullica Hill/Paul VI) earned her fourth shutout of the season with four saves and Stockton netted one goal in each half.

Briana Fischer (Brick/Brick) gave the Ospreys a 1-0 lead with her first goal of the season. The tally came 24:36 into the match and was assisted by Rachel Carlson (Mullica Twp./Oakcrest). Stockton held a 1-0 lead at the half despite disadvantages of 5-4 in shots and 3-0 in corner kicks.

The Ospreys increased the attack in the second half with 12 shots. Their persistence paid off when Jessica Balnis (Dorothy/Buena) struck for her team-leading sixth goal of the season at the 59:57 mark. Jess McQuillen (Tabernacle/Seneca) assisted on the insurance goal and Stockton preserved the shutout for the next 30 minutes to post the 2-0 victory.
