STOCKTON UNBEATEN IN THREE AFTER 1-1 DRAW

Jacque Becker

Boxscore

Richard Stockton (8-5-3, 4-3 NJAC) ran their unbeaten streak to three straight with a 1-1 draw against Farmingdale Sate (12-2-3) on Monday night. The Ospreys are on a good run, going 3-1-1 in their last five contests.

Jacque Becker (Hamilton/Steinert) got the Ospreys on the board first, potting a goal just 1:14 into the game for her fifth tally of the season. Becker took a nice pass from Kiera Hines (Deptford/Deptford) and got behind the defense for the score. Stockton would maintain the 1-0 lead at the half.

In the second half, the Rams started to pressure the Ospreys by consistently getting scoring chances. Katrina Cerverizzo had the best opportunity with 23:05 remaining, but her free kick from just over 14 yards was stopped on a spectacular save by Sarah Hinkle (Mullica Hill/Paul VI).

The Rams later had another near-miss on a shot off the crossbar before Cerverizzo got the tying goal with 30 seconds remaining in regulation on a low shot to the left corner that Hinkle couldn’t stop. Jamie Smith had an opportunity for the win for Farmingdale in overtime, but Hinkle, who had a superb game, stopped her as well.

Hinkle made nine saves for the game. Rams’ goalie Amanda Maass made two saves before suffering an injury. Stacey Rao played the last 16:38 without facing a shot on goal.
