Leah Braidi

Boxscore

Leah Braidi (Vineland/Sacred Heart) scored the game-winning goal midway through double overtime to lift Richard Stockton (9-5-3) to a 1-0 victory over Franklin & Marshall (6-5-1) in a non-conference road game. The victory extended Stockton’s unbeaten streak to four matches (3-0-1).

Braidi’s goal came following a corner kick by Bridget Connelly (Deptford/Deptford), who registered her first point of the season with the assist on the play. The ball found its way to Braidi and she buried her shot in the lower left corner to give the Ospreys the 1-0 win.

Stockton outshot the Diplomats 13-5 and held a 3-1 edge in corner kicks. Connelly had the team’s best chance to score in regulation with a blast late in the first half that was stopped on a diving save by Franklin & Marshall goalie Amanda McGowan. Stockton keeper Sarah Hinkle (Mullica Hill/Paul VI) earned her fifth shutout of the season without facing a single shot on goal.
