STOCKTON PULLS AWAY IN SECOND HALF FOR 5-0 WIN

Richard Stockton (10-6-3, 2-3-2 NJAC) broke open a scorelss game with five second-half goals en route to a 5-0 shutout over FDU-Florham (5-13). The Ospreys stretched their unbeaten streak to four straight with the win, and they have not been scored upon in over 235 minutes.

Anthony Procopio (Vineland/Sacred Heart) scored twice while Brian Thomsen (Brick/Msgr. Donovan), Ali Gocmez (Delran/Delran) and Bryan Hutches (Haddon Twp./Haddon Twp.) also scored for the Ospreys. For Hutches, the goal was his first career tally.

Clay Gashlin (Bayville/Central Regional) had a career-high three assists on the night. Thomsen and Pat Rafferty (Brick/Christian Brothers Academy) also had assists for Stockton.

Thomsen opened the onslaught at the 57:37 mark with his goal on assists from Matt Jenne (Kinnelon/ Kinnelon) and Gashlin. Procopio then scored twice in a span of 10 minutes on assists by Thomsen and Gashlin on the first tally, then Rafferty on the second. Three minutes later, Gocmez struck with an assist from Gashlin, before Hutches ended the scoring on a free kick from 35 yards out.

Stockton goalkeeper Tim Brett (Palmyra/Palmyra) got the victory, making two saves before giving way to Noah Morris (Brick/Brick Twp.), who played the final 8:15 for the combined shutout. Tim Kirk made seven saves for FDU-Florham in the loss.
