WHITE & LEADBEATER EARN NJAC ALL-CONFERENCE NODS

Nancy White
Alicia Leadbeater

Richard Stockton had a record-breaking field hockey season in 2011 and two players received NJAC all-conference honors for their contributions.

Senior Nancy White (Ocean City/Ocean City) was named to the New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team and sophomore Alicia Leadbeater (Franklinville/Delsea) was named NJAC Honorable Mention. White and Leadbeater led Stockton to a school-record nine wins.

White collected her third consecutive all-conference selection after being named NJAC Honorable Mention the past two years. As the only senior on the roster, White’s leadership of the young Osprey squad helped them to the first winning season in school history with a 9-8 record.

White scored a career-high nine goals, and dished out six assists for 24 points for the Ospreys this season. Her point total was the fourth-highest season total in Stockton’s nine-year history and her 47 career points rank her third all-time at Stockton. White’s career totals of 18 goals and 11 assists also rank third on the Ospreys’ all-time scoring list.

Leadbeater broke a pair of Stockton single-season records this year with team-leading totals of 11 assists and 31 points. She also scored 10 goals during her breakout campaign. Leadbeater stands tied for second in the NJAC in assists as well.

Although Leadbeater is only a sophomore, she is quickly making her mark on the record book at Stockton. In addition to the single-season records for assists and points, her goal total this year stands as the third-highest ever for the Ospreys and her 37 points in just two seasons now ranks fifth all-time in Stockton history.
