Richard Stockton junior Stephanie Warner (Totowa/Passaic Valley) was named NJAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Warner led Stockton in its NCAA Tournament first-round match against #3 Emory with 11 kills, three digs and .526 hitting percentage. The Ospreys hung with the third-ranked team in the nation but fell in three sets 25-21, 25-23, 25-15.

Warner led the NJAC in hitting percentage (.468) and finished second in the league in blocks (0.83 bps) and sixth in kills (2.48 kps) this season.

The middle hitter was voted NJAC Player of the Year and NJAC All-Conference First Team by the league’s coaches for her efforts in leading Stockton to its fourth consecutive NJAC championship and a 25-9 final record.

Warner recently was named All-New York Region by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, earning the distinction for second consecutive year. She led the nation in hitting percentage as of the most recent NCAA statistical report on October 30. Warner’s career honors now include 2010 AVCA All-America Honorable Mention, 2011 NJAC Player of the Year, two-time AVCA All-New York Region and three-time NJAC First Team.
