STOCKTON FALLS 3-2 IN OT IN ECAC SEMIFINALS

Richard Stockton (12-7-4) was eliminated from the ECAC Metro tournament with a 3-2 defeat to William Paterson in the tourney semifinals at Drew University.

The Pioneers scored the last three goals of the game after Stockton took a 2-0 lead. Brennen Fitzsimmons (Neptune/ Neptune) tallied a goal and an assist for the Ospreys.

Anthony Procopio (Vineland/Sacred Heart) scored the only goal of the first half with assists by Fitzsimmons and Aaron Oke (Takoma Park, MD/Montgomery Blair) 13:40 into the game. The assist was Oke’s first career point.

Fitzsimmons gave Stockton a 2-0 lead with a marker assisted by Pat Rafferty (Brick/ Christian Brothers Academy) with just 8:15 remaining in regulation.

Joe Strawman scored for WPU on a penalty kick 17 seconds later and Strawman tied the game with only 1:24 left to play. Anthony Ferrer netted the game-winner for the Pioneers 2:43 into overtime to deal Stockton the season-ending 3-2 defeat. Ospreys' goalie Lou Herring (Freehold/Freehold) finished with five saves.
